What we are:
The Pre-Veterinary club is a University of Arizona affiliated club whose purpose is to provide educational experiences for Pre-Veterinary students and other animal related majors. Furthermore, to provide a service to the community in areas including, but not exclusive to, the field of veterinary science.
We accomplish this through a variety of activities, which include:
- Visits from representatives of veterinary schools
- Guest Speakers
- Spring Fling
- Endurance Rides
- Behind the scenes tours
- Other fun activities!
The Pre-Veterinary club builds friendships between the students and faculty. The club is more of a community where we help each other in order to gain as much experience possible to help get accepted into a professional veterinary school.
Calendar of Events 2009-2010
In previous years activities have included a day of health-maintenance at a Pot-bellied Pig ranch, talks from wildlife rehabilitators, and behind the scenes tours of the Reid Park and Phoenix Zoo. Representatives from various Veterinary Schools also come to speak during our meetings.
